The 2018 Girton Fair will be held on Sunday 22 April this year, between 11 and 3, with plenty of excitement, good food and some fresh attractions for all the family.
Now held every second year, the Girton Fair generates funds to support major purchases by the school for our students. In the past, funds raised at the Fair have bought grand pianos for our wonderful Music Department, secured permanent seating in the Black Box Theatre and purchased Girton marquees for use at swimming and athletics carnivals and other school events .
This year – the school’s 25th anniversary – means the 2018 Girton Fair will be even more of a celebration. Planning is now underway and we need your help.
If your family has a wholesale or retail business, we invite you to consider taking a pop-up shop to add to the atmosphere on the day. Maybe you have a home based business, a service or a hobby that you would like to promote.
Our “Home Grown” stall will also be looking for donations of pot plants, eggs, and other local produce, while our Book Stall will be looking for, well, BOOKS! We will also be hunting for interesting goods, activities and experiences that could be donated to the ever-popular Silent Auction.
Volunteers are an integral part of the Fair’s success and if everyone contributes just a few hours or a day to help, it makes it fun to be involved. If you would like to contribute on the organising committee, reserve a pop up shop or have any suggestions at all, please contact Aileen Berry (President) or Paula Saxon (Secretary) through Girton Parents and Friends. Your help will make a difference!
