Expressions of interest: Junortoun Community Action Group
The Junortoun Community Action Group (JCAG) is an independently run volunteer association representing the residents and community of Junortoun.
They are currently seeking two bright young students with a love of English and a passion for community service, from years 10 and 11 (2019), to take on two editorial roles: Newsletter editor and Website editor (for a full role description please email Mrs. Rachelle Fisher via the link below).
These positions are being offered for the duration of 2019 and will satisfy a full year of Girton community service requirements.
Both roles will entail working together and assisting each other in compiling, preparing, writing and uploading content for publication, whilst under the guidance and mentorship of JCAG members. Students will be provided with the appropriate training for use of JCAG applications (eg. MailChimp, WordPress).
This opportunity will provide students with great hands on experience and would ideally suit students who are interested in careers in journalism, communications, public relations, online design, digital media or community engagement.
Preference will be given to students living in Junortoun or nearby suburbs (eg. Longlea, Strathfieldsaye), or those who can demonstrate a connection with, and understanding of, issues affecting residents in the Junortoun community.
