Careers Event for Year 12

in Old Girtonians

Year 12 students enjoyed hearing from three Old Girtonians who visited the school on 7th June to share their life and work experiences with soon to graduate students.

Students heard from an actor, a lawyer and a community development expert who spoke about their experiences at University, in part time jobs, as volunteers and in their current professions.

The speakers were Jac Torrez-Gomez (City of Greater Bendigo), Alex McLennan (Victoria Legal Aid) and Blake Barnard (Baker’s Dozen Theatre Company).

This annual event, hosted by the OGA, is designed to give students some ideas of the myriad of paths their lives may take after school.
