Congratulations to Felicity Field (9A) and Pooja Sabari (7F) who attended the Legacy Junior Public Speaking Awards. Along with 9 other students from a number of local and regional schools, our students presented a 5 minute prepared speech and then a 2 minute impromptu.
Both girls delivered their most thoughtful prepared speeches very confidently on a topic related to the ideals of Legacy. Their impromptus were impressive. In fact, Pooja’s was simply excellent. The topic for the impromptu was ‘How team sports build strong individuals’. She did especially well given she’s ‘not very good at sports’.
Pooja was declared one of the three winners and she will now proceed to the preliminary final in September. Felicity was announced runner-up.
