From April 4th to the 8th Holly Dalgleish, Jessica Dalgleish, Amy Bachmann and Sienna Shirres had the opportunity to represent Girton Grammar School at the State Championships in Werribee. They were able to attend after qualifying at other events including Boneo Park Toorak College and Geelong Grammar Interschools. The week consisted of judging in the disciplines – Rider, ridden and led, Dressage and Show Jumping. Each of these disciplines had different criteria ranging from presentation, manners and paces conformation, riding to a test and jumping at a range of heights. Competition was tough with many schools from across the state represented. Holly was awarded second in the led horse section and Amy received a first in the Prix St George and third in the Inter 1, she qualified for nationals in both events, and she was also the reserve champion in the small tour championship.
