The 2018 Girton Grammar Fair will be held on Sunday 22 April, with plenty of fun and excitement, lots of good food and some new attractions.
The Girton Fair, now held every second year, generates funds to support major purchases by the school for our students. In the past, funds raised have helped buy permanent seating in the Black Box Theatre, grand pianos for our wonderful Music Department and marquees for use at swimming and athletics carnivals and other school events.
This year, the school’s 25th anniversary, will mean the 2018 Girton Fair is even more of a celebration. We will have many of the popular attractions from previous Fairs and this year we are adding some fresh new attractions and stalls to increase the enjoyment of our patrons. Planning for the Fair is well underway and there are many ways that you can help at this early stage.
- Are you in a position to donate goods, services or vouchers to the ever-popular Silent Auction? Vouchers for experiences or services, gift baskets/hampers, or any new items would be gratefully received.
- If your family has a wholesale or retail business, we invite you to consider taking a pop-up shop to add to the market atmosphere on the day.
- Perhaps you have a home-based business or hobby that you would like to showcase or demonstrate?
- Our “Home Grown” stall will also be looking for donations of pot plants, eggs, and home-made/home-grown produce.
It is only eight weeks away, so if you would like to contribute on the organising committee, reserve a pop up shop or have any suggestions at all, please contact Aileen Berry (President) direct or Paula Saxon (Secretary) through Girton Parents and Friends.
