The Magic had their very first win for two seasons defeating Aztec Tigers White 38 – 31. The team has worked hard all season, staying in Division one and persevering to better their game, and now all the hard work is paying off.

Coach Ben Harvey from the Bendigo Braves was extremely proud and happy for his team. Coach Harvey said the boys started very well and led for most of the game. Josh Smith top scoring with a huge 22 points and Hamish Walker coming back to the side this season with 6 points were great leaders on the floor. Alex Carr also had a stand out game with 8 points. Our teams defensive pressure was outstanding, this caused Aztec Tigers White to turn the ball over and create easy baskets for our team on the offensive end.

The boys showed great team work, plenty of passion and played team basketball which gave them a very deserving win.

Good luck Girton Magic for the rest of the season. Keep up the hard work!
