Junior School Artshow and Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day

in Junior School News

At the end of last term, Junior School held their annual Art Exhibition and Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day.  The Art Exhibition showcased the amazing work of Junior School students from Preparatory to Year Six.  The exhibition was opened by Lucy Mora who along with the parents were delighted by the works on display.  Mrs James was exceptionally proud of all the work the students produced and has already started thinking about what she can get them to create next year.

Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day was held at the end of the week and was a lovely social day for our students and guests alike.  Students took great pride in showing their guests in their classrooms, the art exhibition and the Book Fair in the Junior School Library.   Many guests stayed for lunch and enjoyed the musical performances by the students that went on all day under the Peppercorn Tree.  We were entertained by large groups such as the Junior School Choir and String Ensembles as well as individual students playing instruments or singing for the audience.

The event involves many staff and parents to ensure it runs smoothly.  There are many parents involved in the event from months prior right up to the set up of the artshow and morning tea on the final day.  We thank each and every parent who gave up their time to assist and appreciate the support given to Junior School.  We also wish to thank the businesses who also support our day: Kate Monotti Photography, 2Tasty Catering and County Cakes.
