In the last week of the school holidays a number of our students took part in a three-hour training session to learn the finer arts of coffee making. The training was provided by “Coffee School Bus” which is the only mobile training facility of its type in Australia. The bus is specially fitted out with ten coffee machines. Not only did the students learn to make 10 different coffees but they also learned about the history, harvesting, roasting of coffee beans and the texturing of milk. Girton Staff who were working on the day were lucky enough to trial the product of these budding baristas.
As it was a particularly wet and cold day in Bendigo, they finished their training by making their own special hot chocolate as a reward for their hard work.
